]]>With recent shifts in accountability and efforts like the ongoing IC Pride Summits in June, the Intelligence Community’s leaders are committed to engaging the strength in our nation’s multicultural background. Join us to meet experts from the CIA, DIA, DOE, and FBI—then ask them about their unique histories and how their agencies excel by seeing the world’s challenges through differing lenses. A reception with light refreshments will follow to meet our guests.
The Intelligence Community has ranked among the “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government” for eight years running, according to non-profit research, making it one of the few large public entities to compete nationally in job satisfaction and retention. The Director of National Intelligence has tasked IC leaders to adopt Diversity as one of their core values, and their policies for hiring and developing employees in minority populations is not just a goal—it’s a mission-critical priority.
Come and learn how your unique perspective could lead to a future career in Intelligence!

]]>Research shows that when caregivers attend organized support groups run by trained professionals, they can double the amount of time a senior with dementia can stay at home, rather than be cared for through an outside and often more costly program. Support groups also provide increased peace-of-mind to families trying to accommodate their loved one’s wishes.
Caring for the Caregiver sessions will address valuable coping skills needed to deal with conflicting demands, ways to understand and manage challenging behaviors, the importance of self-care and time away, future care considerations, and more. And because caregiving can be isolating, support group members often find great comfort by sharing their experiences with others in similar situations.
