VUCF presents "Education Pursuit"

Wednesday, November 6, 2013 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come stop by Memory Mall and join Volunteer UCF’s Education and Literacy Committee analyzing the education gap between upper and lower class students in America through a life-sized 10-minute board game! The students will be put into the shoes of an American 8th grader journeying their way through the education system. Will you be a student growing up in a low-income, high crime area that overcomes the odds and makes it to a 4 year university due to an amazing teacher? Or will you become a victim of a poor school district that doesn’t end up with a high school diploma. You’ll have to play to find out! Through their board game journey students will learn facts and information on the American education system and how you can help make a difference in students’ lives. Food and prizes will be provided. LINK points are available! Find out more on Knight Connect. Read More
