The SGA Open House is a great way for incoming students to learn about the three branches (Executive, Judicial, and Legislative) of the Student Government Association. Students can learn what services and resources SGA provides as well as win some of our promotional items. Food will be provided. In addition, students will be able to sign up for our three mentorship programs; The Student Body President Advisory Council, The Justice League, and The Senate Leadership Council.

You're officially invited to participate in and attend "Pitch Your Idea Wednesdays." Every Wednesday students stop by the Blackstone LaunchPad to share their ideas for startups, non-profits, inventions, design and more. The top ideas, chosen by students in attendance, will automatically receive a $5 gift card to Mrs. Field Bakery & Pita Stop and advance to a monthly "Pitch Off" for the opportunity to win a $40 dollar 4 Rivers Smokehouse Gift Card. This weekly event lasts from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m but there are only six pitch slots available each Wednesday so sign up before space runs out. To sign up visit -- Though all students are welcome seating is limited to the first 40. Students are encouraged to show up early to ensure they receive a seat. This free event is hosted by the Blackstone LaunchPad located on the first floor of the student union. The Blackstone LaunchPad is UCF's official startup center providing free coaching, resources and events for students.

As Palooza’s official dance party, Knight Rave is the ultimate opportunity to have fun during the first week of school. Held in the CFE Arena, live DJs spin a variety of sick beats featuring EDM, dubstep, and house music, and glow-sticks and black lights abound. In previous years, student DJs have had the opportunity to perform at Knight Rave and serve as pre-function entertainment to hype students up before the event.
