Vascular Depression: An Early Indicator of Late-Life Decline - Daniel Paulson, MA

Mr. Paulson completed a Master’s degree in Psychological Sciences at James Madison University before entering the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Wayne State University. He is presently completing the Neuropsychology Track at the Charleston Consortium Clinical Psychology Internship Program in South Carolina. His primary research interests broadly represent the intersection of geropsychology, health psychology, and clinical neuropsychology. More specifically, his research seeks to better understand late-life depression within the context of adverse clinical and developmental trajectories. His work is primarily based on large, demographically-representative datasets, and emphasizes longitudinal modeling strategies. His dissertation was completed with a grant from the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation and support from the National Institute on Aging T-32 Pre-doctoral Research Traineeship in Aging and Urban Health. In addition to his research on aging, Mr. Paulson has collaborated with clinical researchers at Henry Ford Health Systems and the Hope Foundation for Research.
