SUMMARY:Eldora State House Community Shoreline Stabilization Day
DESCRIPTION:UCF's Coastal and Estuary Ecology Lab (CEELAB) is hosting a sh
 oreline restoration event to prevent further erosion and potential damage
  to the Eldora State House in Canaveral National Seashore. Erosion is a p
 revalent issue along Florida’s coastlines, exacerbated by wakes from bo
 at traffic and severe weather. This depletion of sand can lead to habitat
  loss for many native species, as well as property damage to our State’
 s cultural treasures. \nVolunteers will assist in deploying stabilized oy
 ster shell, as well as planting mangroves and marshgrass on the coastline
  adjacent to the historic Eldora house to allay this beach deterioration.
  This is a family-friendly event, with activities for kids, food and give
 aways!

DESCRIPTION:UCF's Human Resources Department launched a series of meetings
  for the HR Liaison Network by hosting quarterly "HR Liaisons" meetings. 
 The purpose of these meetings is to provide a forum for communication bet
 ween HR Staff and the HR Liaisons for continuous improvement in HR progra
 ms, services and best practices for the UCF community. The network is com
 prised of people who have significant responsibility for HR-related activ
 ities and have completed the HR Liaison Program training.  \n \nA number 
 of staff members from Human Resources will be present to discuss changes 
 to HR procedures, programs, and other related issues. In addition at the 
 quarterly meetings, HR Liaisons will:\n \n*find out about dates and deadl
 ines for events (performance reviews, benefits open enrollment, payroll p
 rocessing, etc.);\n*bring problems or concerns from departments to be dis
 cussed with HR staff;\n*share ideas, solutions or obstacles in their posi
