Interested is becoming the next President/Vice President of your Student Government Association? UCF's SGA has been active for 44 years and now oversees an 18.8 million dollar budget. If you are thinking about running in the Spring 2013 Presidential Election you must attend one information session hosted by the SGA Election Commission. Students who are interested in campaigning during the Spring Election are also highly encouraged to attend. The Election Commission will be covering the requirements to become SGA President/Vice President, important dates, what to expect during the election period, and all rules and regulations according to the SGA Election Statutes. Petitions for the Spring 2013 Presidential Elections can be picked up from the Student Government Association Office (SU 214) starting Monday, February 18 at 9AM. Completed packets must be turned in during Declaration of Candidacy. Packets must be completely filled out and contain 500 valid UCF student signatures. CREOL has partnered with Pangolin Laser Systems; a world renowned manufacturer of laser control systems, to put on a presentation about laser technology and how it is used in the entertainment industry. In addition to the presentation, Pangolin will perform a live laser light show for those in attendance.

Come and join us at NABA for our meeting with Wake Forest University and the Office of the Comptroller.Mr. Bennett, the Associate Director of Graduate Business Admissions will be talking about their MSA program, what graduate admission committees look for in candidates, scholarship opportunities they offer etc. Wake Forest University has highest CPA Pass rate and 100% job placement rate for their MSA students (also an opportunity to possibly get graduate school paid for is not too bad). The National Association of Black Accountants is an organization dedicated to developing its members professionally. We provide many opportunities for our members (scholarships, internships, etc). NABA meetings usually feature a guest speaker that educates our members on various business topics and opportunities. All business majors students are welcome to come!!! Dr. Negy offers a Study Abroad Program for Costa Rica / Panama that will take place this Summer Session B. There are two slots still available for students who'd like to experience living in Central America for a month, taking Cross-Cultural Psychology with Dr. Negy at the Universidad de Costa Rica. Students will spend 3 weeks in Costa Rica (along with University of Costa Rican students in the same course), and then spend 1 week in Panama, including spending time on a Caribbean island governed by Kuna Indians.
