Would you know what to do if you encountered a person who appeared to be unconscious? What would you do before help arrived? This hands-on course (Workplace FA & Safety Adult CPR/AED) follows the guidelines of the American Red Cross in teaching the proper CPR techniques for non-emergency personnel. Sponsored by UCF's Environmental Health and Safety Office, the class is limited to 16 participants. The LGBTQ+ 101 training session is the first in the series and is designed for all levels of knowledge on LGBTQ+ issues. It satisfies an elective requirement for the SDES Diversity Certificate Series. In this 3-hour training session, participants will be presented with general information about individual and societal concerns related to LGBTQ+ identity, including developmental experiences, relationships, civil rights, and stigma. All that is necessary is the courage and curiosity to make contact with the imagination and the means to make a mark. The stories are already within you, waiting to be told.
