Improving Performance and Capability Using Neuroscience
Portable neurosensing tools and simulation-based training environments have begun to close the gap between laboratory testing and real-world environments. Current work in health and military applications is leading us closer to creating new ways to assess performance in both real and simulated settings. Dr. Cali M. Fidopiastis, formerly with UCF's Institute for Simulation & Training and now an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Professions at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, uses virtual reality technologies and applied neuroscience approaches to study human performance and brain function.

Dr. Amr Elnashai - Candidate for Provost and Vice President
All students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to the Provost Search Open Forum for Dr. Amr Elnashai, Tuesday, April 29 from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. in Classroom II Building, Room 105. Dr. Elnashai's open forum will be broadcast live in a large room at all regional campuses (including the Rosen College of Hospitality Management and Health Sciences Campus at Lake Nona) and a video of his presentation will be made available once all finalists have visited campus.

SWFL AlumKnight Out Knight at the BallPark with Dean Paul Jarley
Enjoy a Knight at the Ballpark with the Southwest Florida UCF Alumni Club and the Fort Myers Miracle baseball team with special guest Paul Jarley, Dean of the UCF College of Business. There will be a brief meet-and-greet with the Dean at 6:30 p.m., followed by the game at 7 p.m. Look for the Southwest Florida UCF Alumni Club Chair, Matt Ayala, '11, who will have a table set up at the gate to direct you where to go. Tickets are $16 and may be purchased through John Kuhn with the Miracle at 239.533.7668. Tickets include admission to the game, all you can eat food, and $1 beers. Experience the UCF Clothesline Project display throughout the month of April in the Student Union Atrium. Join Knight Advocates and UCF Victim Services on Market Days (Wednesdays 10am-2pm) in April outside the Student Union to paint a t-shirt and speak out against violence in our community. Victims, survivors, advocates, activists, anyone, everyone--all are welcome to express their emotions through this artistic outlet.
