Join
the UCF College of Sciences Alumni Chapter to assist with the UCF Biology
Department's efforts to restore degraded shorelines and oyster reefs.
For this volunteer event on the main UCF campus, volunteers will prepare
materials for future deployments to the Indian River Lagoon, as well as
plant/transplant mangroves and marshgrass, and create oyster restoration mats.
This service project is taking place as part of UCF’s 9th annual day
of service, Knights Give Back, which UCF alumni, students, faculty, and staff
work together to make a difference in Central Florida.
Don't forget to wear casual black & gold clothing and closed toed shoes
that are okay to get dirty. All participants of this project will receive a UCF
College of Sciences hat as well as coffee and donuts, refreshments and snacks.
Lunch will provided following the project to all Knights Give Back participants
at another site on campus, hosted by Volunteer UCF.
For UCF faculty, staff and students interested in volunteering, register online
through Volunteer UCF at
