Akbike Algi is one among the most gifted young violinists of the contemporary violin school in Kazakhstan. For the short period of time, she has received wide recognition as a violin performer in her native Kazakhstan, Russia, and abroad. At the age of five, Akbike began her violin studies at Preparatory school which is a part of Kazakh National University of Arts. During the following years of studies, she demonstrated her talent, motivation, and persistence in achieving her educational goals. Akbike’s violin teacher, Professor of Kazakh National University of Arts Raisa Mussakhodjayeva, whose teaching method is based on gradual development of violin player, made a great contribution to Akbike’s development as a violinist. At the age of ten, Akbike became a winner of the I prize at the VI International competition “Astana-Merei”. Next she has become a winner of the III prize at another prestigious international violin competition in Astana city. In 2013, Akbike was invited by leaders of Russian Ministry of Culture to perform at Georgiev Auditorium in Kremlin. She performed D. Kabalevski violin concerto with President Symphony Orchestra of Russia. The distinguished guest at this concert was Naina Yeltzin,, the wife of the former President of Russia Boris Yeltzin. Akbike also has become a winner of II prize at the prestigious violin competition in Russia “Violin of the North”. Next she participated in International violin competition “Giovanni Talenti” in Italy where she has won the I prize. However, the biggest milestone in Akbike’s violin performance career has been a participation in XV International violin competition Closter- Shental in Germany where she received honored title of laureate. People’s Artist of former USSR and Professor of Moscow Conservatory Eduard Grach said about her:”Akbike is a very talented musician, a professional violinist with a great future.”
