Physics Career Exploration Day 2016

Saturday, October 22, 2016 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Physics Career Exploration Day is geared toward high school students and first-year college students who want to explore careers in physics. The students are invited to bring one or two parents along with them to this career exploration day.

Physicists find themselves working in almost every science and engineering environment, including teaching, and are often in leadership roles. The students will hear from physicists about the great career opportunities in their fields. They will discuss how they chose their careers and what they actually do on a daily basis.

The day will include:

  • speakers from the UCF Physics Department
  • lunch, partly sponsored by the Florida High Tech Corridor Council (techPATH)
  • tours of UCF facilities
  • ice cream and personal discussions with both faculty and students from both departments.

Please share this event with anyone you think would benefit from this program.
