Powerlifting Workshop

Friday, October 21, 2016 3 p.m. to Friday, November 4 at 4 p.m.

Join us for the RWC Powerlifting Workshop, meeting on October 21st, October 28th, and November 4th. This workshop with be part lecture and part practical. The group will meet each Friday from 3:00pm-4:00pm in the Wet Classroom. Each day will focus on one of the three competition lifts. The schedule is as follows...


Friday, October 21st: Squat

Friday, October 28th: Bench

Friday, November 4th: Deadlift 


Each session is independent of the prior, but we encourage you to attend all three. The workshop will be lead by three of our veteran staff members, Meghan Dougherty, Dominic Beswick, and Daniel Sharvit. Meghan and Dominic have both competed and have first hand experience in what it takes to train for a powerlifting meet. Daniel Sharvit is our Personal Training Lead and has been a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2015.


This workshop is designed to benefit both those who are experienced and looking to further sharpen their tool set, and those who are new to resistance training and would like to learn more about the squat, bench, and deadlift.
