DIVerse Families: An overview of children’s and young adult books that show diversity within the family

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Books act as mirrors and windows, either reflecting our own lives or giving us a glimpse into other people’s lives. They help us navigate the unknown, help us not make things so scary, explain issues in a non-threatening way. Books can be a platform for discussion between adults and children.

Come listen to a book talk describing some great books for toddlers, children, tweens and young adults that show and highlight diversity within the family.

CSWF 2017 Faculty Fellow: Kristine Shrauger, Head, Interlibrary Loan, Associate Librarian, UCF Libraries.

No RSVP needed.
