SBIRT Training @ UCF

Friday, August 11, 2017 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Faculty members from the School of Social Work at UCF will present a training on SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment), a public health approach to screening and early intervention to prevent serious substance misue. This presentation will include an overview of the SBIRT curriculum and hands-on training, allowing for the practice of the screening for substance use and the application of the Motivational Interviewing-based intervention.
