The UCF Nicholson School of Communication Alumni Chapter is
excited to announce the 2014 NSC Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee, Donna Mirus
Bates, ’93, Senior Vice President, Marketing Communications & Content
Development, Universal Orlando Resort. Join us as we celebrate Donna’s
successes and induct her into the UCF NSC Alumni Hall of Fame for her
contributions to the industry and continued support for the University of
Central Florida.
Donna’s talk will focus on Universal Orlando Resort’s latest
expansion. Who says lightning never strikes twice? Launching The Wizarding
World of Harry Potter was the marketing opportunity of a lifetime, and Donna
and her team got to do it twice! How do you create an encore marketing campaign
and re-ignite global excitement for a theme park expansion of this magnitude
just four years after you launched the original? Hear first hand how Donna and
her team of wizards partnered with Warner Bros, the Harry Potter cast and
filmmakers, JK Rowling and a team of creative geniuses to capture the world’s
imagination once again and bring Diagon Alley to life in Orlando.
This event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m.
during lunch at the Citrus Club in downtown Orlando. The cost to register is
