Diabetes Connect: A 6-Week Educational Support Group

If you’re living with diabetes, you understand the daily challenges–from carb counting and dining out to balancing medications and managing blood sugars. To help you along this path, UCF Pegasus Health, the College of Medicine physician practice, partnered with the UCF Department of Psychology to offer Diabetes Connect.

This 6-week program, which begins September 30, allows members to learn from each other’s experiences in a structured environment, and will cover the following topics:
  • Session 1 – Welcome & Course Overview
  • Session 2 – Diabetes & Your Diet
  • Session 3 – Diabetes & Exercise
  • Session 4 – Motivation & Action
  • Session 5 – Stress Management & Coping Strategies
  • Session 6 – Consolidating Gains & Preventing Relapse
