SUMMARY:Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence
URL:https://events.ucf.edu/event/319664/showcase-of-undergraduate-research-excellence/
DESCRIPTION:The Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence (SURE) is a poster forum for UCF undergraduates to present their research and creative projects to the broader university community. Undergraduates from all disciplines are encouraged to present current or recently completed academic projects showcasing the diversity of topics, approaches, and interests at UCF. The Showcase serves as a resource for undergraduates not yet engaged in research and creative pursuits to learn how fellow students have developed their intellectual interests, current projects, and faculty connections. SURE demonstrates to undergraduates not yet engaged in research - as well as faculty, staff, alumni, and the greater Central Florida community - that research builds upon and enriches the UCF experience.\n\nPoster Session 1, 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. ~ Poster Session 2, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.\n\nAwards ceremony from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.\n\nFor more information and eligibility requirements, please see [ Showcase FAQ page](http://showcase.ucf.edu/faq/index.php), or contact the Office of Undergraduate Research at [ OUR@ucf.edu](mailto:OUR@ucf.edu).\n\nSURE is part of the [ Research Week](http://researchweek.ucf.edu/) at UCF.

SUMMARY:CAB Presents : UCFest
URL:https://events.ucf.edu/event/406531/cab-presents-ucfest/
DESCRIPTION:The United Creatives Festival, or UCFEST, is an opportunity for young creative people to indulge in the artistic community around them. There are opportunities for young artists, photographers, journalists, bloggers, musicians, students, and families to connect with one another. The purpose of UCFEST is to serve as a platform for unseen UCF talent and local Orlando talent to bridge the gap between the university and the surrounding communities. \n \nThis idea was developed by UCF AlumKnight Brandon Payne. Brandon is very well-known in the UCF community and a huge participant in local urban arts, performing frequently at art shows, networking events, and concerts all around Florida. He has always had his heart set on leaving a legacy at the University of Central Florida by giving something back to the community that gave him so much. With the help of one of the largest student activity divisions on campus, Campus Activity Board (CAB), Brandon is now able to do just that. \n \nWe invite you to join us in a great production and be apart of our diverse community
