]]>This lecture seeks to present a reflection on the relationship between the literary experience of Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and the concept "escrevivência" – a portmanteau of escrita (writing) and vivência (living) – proposed by Brazilian writer Conceição Evaristo, as both of them insert in their texts a forceful way of writing individual and collective self-representation, existing in the fictional reports that describe the relations of race and gender in the literary sphere.
Lara Christina Silva Barroca, a visiting Fulbright Scholar from the Federal University of Viçosa, Minas Gerais state, Brazil, will head the lecture.
Lecture will be in English. This event is free and open to the public.
