]]>Meetings with employers are a 2-step process. After you register, you must claim a spot. Employers continue to volunteer. If you are unable to meet with an employer, keep checking Handshake in case other employers sign-up.
ON THE DAY OF THE SESSION
Mock Interviews take place within Handshake. Log into your Handshake account and navigate to the fair page under Events. Test your tech requirements: https://networktest.twilio.com/.
The employer is the only one that has the ability to screen share. If you did not share your resume, as soon as you log in, ask them for their email address to share your resume with them.
Since the 1x1 sessions are 30 minutes, you can meet with multiple employers, up to 2 max. It is recommended that you do not book back-to-back appointments as you will need a few minutes to get ready for the next session. Leave at least 5 minutes in between appointments so that you can showcase your best self!
Space is limited. If you are not able to make the appointment, please cancel as soon as you can. This will allow your peers to schedule a session with that particular employer.
Contact Heather Pfingston, heather.pfingston@ucf.edu, if you have any questions.

]]>Outdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick's SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced SCUBA DIVE outfitters, for our entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification course. This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF, and to currently active UCF Recreation and Wellness Center members. Current UCF Faculty and UCF Staff can enroll for the SCUBA course if they have a current Recreation and Wellness Center Membership.
Upon successful completion of this course and check-out dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required; however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.
Cost
The total cost of the certification is $320 with $40 due at the time of registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.
Schedule
In order for the participant to receive the SCUBA certification, they must complete two consecutive weekends of training. The first weekend encompasses the classroom work and practice dives in the pool. The first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. For the second weekend, students will pick either all day Saturday or Sunday to complete the Open Water Dives. Please note: Spring 2022 dates include open water dive weekends in the following month; you must attend both weekends to complete your training.
Current Certification Dates:
Open Water Dives
The second weekend of the certification will be when the students can complete their open water dives. These dives take place either at Devil’s Den, Blue Grotto, or Blue Heron Bridge. This is a full-day commitment. Transportation is not included.
Equipment
A SCUBA-quality mask, snorkel, wetsuit, fins, and SCUBA booties are the student's responsibility to bring to all dive sessions. These pieces can be rented through the Outdoor Adventure Center and is included in the course fee. This equipment is subject to availability. All other equipment and materials are provided by Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.
Registration
You may submit an online registration form and pay over the phone, or come into the Outdoor Adventure Center to sign up for the certification. To be fully registered, you must pay the deposit ($40) by the registration deadline, which is the Wednesday before the first weekend.
