DESCRIPTION:Mathematics and Applications Seminar \nTime: 11:00am - 12:00pm, Friday, Feb 3, 2023 \nLocation: MSB 318\n\nSpeaker: \nDr. Zhisheng Shuai \nDepartment of Mathematics \nUniversity of Central Florida \n\nTitle: Coupled Systems of Differential Equations on Networks -- New Perspectives from Linear Algebra and Graph Theory\n\nAbstract: \nMany complex systems in science and engineering can be regarded as coupled nonlinear differential equations on networks. We provide new advances on stability problems of such systems in terms of spectral monotonicity, generalized inverse and networks structures. Applications of theoretical developments are demonstrated by ecological and epidemiological systems in heterogeneous environments, providing new insights on population and infectious disease control.

Will anyone be able to stop him or will terror and bloodshed ensue the actions of one man? Through Bertolt Brecht's trademark style of epic theatre, audiences will be invited to contemplate the dangers of greed, political manipulation and power mongering.\n\nBy Bertolt Brecht.
