These works reflect the memories, experiences, relationships, communities and values that create one's sense of self.\n\nThe Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens is honored to partner with UCF SVAD to present this exhibition, continuing the legacy of its founder, Albin Polasek, whose dedication to arts education has influenced generations of artists. DESCRIPTION:About \n\nOutdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick's SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced scuba dive outfitters, for our entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification course. This course is available to students currently enrolled at UCF. \n\nUpon successful completion of this course and checkout dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open-water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and areas dived approximate those in training. No previous SCUBA experience is required; however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course. \n\nCost   \nThe total cost of the certification is $380, with $40 due at registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification, paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures. If you pay by card, there is an additional $5 fee, bringing the total to $385. \n\nSchedule \n\nTo receive SCUBA certification, participants must complete two consecutive weekends of training. The first weekend includes classroom work and pool practice dives. Normally, the first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. For the second weekend, our instructor will pick either Saturday or Sunday to complete the Open Water Dives. \n\nCurrent Certification Dates: \n\n\n\n  * January 2026 Certification \n\n\n  *     * January 23-25 - UCF Classroom Session, Pool Session, First Check-Out Dive\n    * February 1 - Second Check-Out Dive \n\n\n  * February 2026 Certification \n\n\n  *     * February 20-22 - UCF Classroom Session, Pool Session, First Check-Out Dive\n    * March 1 - Second Check-Out Dive \n\n\n  * April 2026 Certification \n\n\n  *     * April 3-5 - UCF Classroom Session, Pool Session, First Check-Out Dive\n    * April 12 -Second Check-Out Dive\n\n\n\n  * May 2026 Certification\n    * May 15-17 - UCF Classroom Session, Pool Session, First Check-Out Dive \n    * May 24 - Second Check-Out Dive\n\n\n\n \n\nOpen Water Dives \n\nDuring the second weekend of the certification, students can complete their open-water dives. These dives take place either at Devil's Den, Blue Grotto, KP Hole or Blue Heron Bridge. This is a full-day commitment. Transportation is not included. \n\nEquipment \n\nA SCUBA-quality mask, snorkel, wetsuit, fins and SCUBA booties are the student's responsibility to bring to all dive sessions. These pieces can be rented through the Outdoor Adventure Center and are included in the course fee. This equipment is subject to availability.
