Session 1: Distributed GPU Architecture for LLMs
This session introduces GPU computing fundamentals and memory considerations in machine learning workflows.
It also examines multi-GPU strategies — including model parallelism, Distributed Data Parallel (DDP), and Fully Sharded Data Parallel (FSDP) — through practical examples and hands-on exercises.

Session 2: Handling Large DataFrames in Python
This session explores the performance and memory limitations of pandas when working with large-scale datasets.
It presents modern alternatives such as Polars and covers efficient data-handling techniques, including optimized storage formats, chunked processing, and extensions for distributed and GPU-enabled frameworks.

Session 3: Python and DataFrames for Sensible Experiment Management
This session focuses on developing structured and reproducible workflows for computational research.
Participants will build a benchmarking framework for LLM inference while learning best practices in data aggregation, API integration and automated visualization.

Please note: All the sessions have a hands-on component. To participate in the hands-on exercises during the session, you will need to bring your own laptop equipped with a web browser and install any software specific to that lesson. Refer to each lesson's description for specific instructions. 

Students must work within the parameters set by the gallery and adapt to changes and challenges that may arise throughout the process. The Art Show is the concept of an exhibition which will require the participants to think beyond their studio practice.

Works by all six finalists will be shown at both venues, creating opportunities to engage with two major academic communities. One artist will receive a $10,000 prize, a solo exhibition in 2027, and the opportunity to serve as a juror for the next edition, along with additional professional development support.

Pathways is designed to nurture emerging artists and provide a meaningful path forward, reflecting the shared missions of both institutions.

Celebrating the creativity of our community’s emerging artists, this juried exhibition features work by graduate and undergraduate students from the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design.

Through a diverse range of techniques and materials, including painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media, the selected works offer personal explorations of identity. These works reflect the memories, experiences, relationships, communities and values that create one’s sense of self.

The Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens is honored to partner with UCF SVAD to present this exhibition, continuing the legacy of its founder, Albin Polasek, whose dedication to arts education has influenced generations of artists. In that spirit, the museum remains committed to supporting emerging talent by providing a platform for new voices and creative expression.

This session is ideal for supervisors, managers, mentors and aspiring coaches who've completed an introductory coaching course or have foundational coaching experience. Participants will strengthen their interpersonal effectiveness and support others in achieving personal and professional growth.

NOTE: While not a prerequisite, we strongly recommend attending Introduction to Coaching Part 1 because it provides a coaching foundation
