Works by all six finalists will be shown at both venues, creating opportunities to engage with two major academic communities. One artist will receive a $10,000 prize, a solo exhibition in 2027, and the opportunity to serve as a juror for the next edition, along with additional professional development support.

Pathways is designed to nurture emerging artists and provide a meaningful path forward, reflecting the shared missions of both institutions.

Celebrating the creativity of our community’s emerging artists, this juried exhibition features work by graduate and undergraduate students from the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design.

Through a diverse range of techniques and materials, including painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media, the selected works offer personal explorations of identity. These works reflect the memories, experiences, relationships, communities and values that create one’s sense of self.

The Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens is honored to partner with UCF SVAD to present this exhibition, continuing the legacy of its founder, Albin Polasek, whose dedication to arts education has influenced generations of artists. In that spirit, the museum remains committed to supporting emerging talent by providing a platform for new voices and creative expression.

Following the presentation, we will give a brief tour of the Doctor Phillips Nursing Pavilion so you can view the state-of-the-art labs and simulation spaces that foster innovation and enhance nursing education for Knight Nurses.

UCF’s BSN Information Sessions are designed to help prospective BSN students understand the process and steps for applying to UCF's limited-access, upper-division BSN programs, which include the traditional, second degree and concurrent options. The online RN to BSN option will also be discussed. Attendees will learn about unique application requirements to practice and learn in clinical sites, prerequisite courses and grade requirements and other helpful information. This information session is open to anyone interested in applying to UCF College of Nursing's BSN program.

Attendance is not required of applicants, but it is encouraged. Attendees should plan to arrive early and stay for the entire presentation, which will last about one hour, followed by a question-and-answer session. There will be limited availability for one-on-one advising after the session.

BSN program options:

• Traditional BSN is offered at three UCF campuses: Cocoa, Daytona Beach and Orlando.
• Second Degree BSN is only offered at UCF Orlando and is designed for students who have a bachelor's degree or higher in a non-nursing discipline.
• Concurrent ASN to BSN is offered at UCF Altamonte Springs (SSC) and UCF Valencia West, with on-campus classes, and then transitions online for the last one to two semesters after passing the NCLEX-RN.
• Florida College System Concurrent ASN to BSN is offered online to students who have completed their first semester of an ASN program at any Florida College System program.
• RN to BSN is offered online for licensed RNs who aim to advance their education with a BSN degree.

Trip Description: Paddle into the dark and watch the water glow! The Indian River Lagoon near Titusville is one of the best places in the world to experience bioluminescence — a natural phenomenon where microorganisms light up brilliant blue-green with every stroke of your paddle. This magical evening trip is unlike anything else Outdoor Adventure (OA) offers and is guaranteed to leave you speechless. 

What's Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (including kayaks, paddles, and PFDs), transportation to/from the activity and professional guidance by OA trip leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders. 

What's Not Included: Participants should wear athletic clothing and appropriate footwear, and bring personal dinner/water/snacks. Meals are not provided. A full packing list will be provided at the pre-trip meeting. 

Tentative Itinerary (time and activities are subject to change): 

• 7:30 p.m. – Arrive at the Outdoor Adventure Center and travel to the kayak launch in Titusville, Florida

• 9 p.m. – Arrive at the launch; prep kayaks and gear 

• 9:30 p.m.–12 a.m. – Paddle under the stars and experience bioluminescence 

• 12:30 a.m. – Drive back to UCF 

• 2 a.m. – Arrive at the Outdoor Adventure Center
