en-US The Pathways 2026: The Carlos Malamud Prize exhibition is a collaborative partnership between the UCF Art Gallery and the Rollins Museum of Art, celebrating emerging professional artists across Florida. Juried by a panel of three art professionals, this year’s exhibition features six artists with diverse practices, spanning a wide range of media, themes, and perspectives.

Works by all six finalists will be shown at both venues, creating opportunities to engage with two major academic communities. One artist will receive a $10,000 prize, a solo exhibition in 2027, and the opportunity to serve as a juror for the next edition, along with additional professional development support.

Pathways is designed to nurture emerging artists and provide a meaningful path forward, reflecting the shared missions of both institutions.

Celebrating the creativity of our community’s emerging artists, this juried exhibition features work by graduate and undergraduate students from the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design.

Through a diverse range of techniques and materials, including painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media, the selected works offer personal explorations of identity. These works reflect the memories, experiences, relationships, communities and values that create one’s sense of self.

The Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens is honored to partner with UCF SVAD to present this exhibition, continuing the legacy of its founder, Albin Polasek, whose dedication to arts education has influenced generations of artists. In that spirit, the museum remains committed to supporting emerging talent by providing a platform for new voices and creative expression.

en-US Join us online for an information session on the online PhD in Nursing Program at the UCF College of Nursing. Learn about the unique admission requirements for the program, which offers two tracks: BSN to PhD and PhD in nursing. In this interactive information session, ask questions and find out what you need to know to successfully prepare your application.

The information sessions are designed to help prospective nursing students understand the application process for UCF's limited-access programs. Attendees will learn about unique application requirements, prerequisite courses, grade requirements and other helpful information. This information session is open to anyone interested in applying to the PhD in Nursing track.

Attendance is not required of applicants, but it is encouraged. Attendees should plan to arrive early as the presentation will begin promptly at 12 p.m. Your host will be Annette Bourgault, the director of the PhD in Nursing program. The entire presentation will last about 30 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A session. Afterward, if you have additional questions, you may schedule a one-on-one advising appointment by emailing gradnurseadvisor@ucf.edu.

When FEMA is activated, emergency contracts will be needed and if you are registered in the SAM.gov disaster registry your firm may be considered for those short fused contracts. We will discuss how emergency contracting takes place, will address some of the provisions of the Stafford Act to protect impacted area small businesses, and will highlight some of the federal agencies that make use of contractors to fulfill their disaster recovery mission: FEMA, US Army Corps of Engineers, others.

NA is a non-profit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs have become a major problem. We meet regularly to help each other live drug-free. There are no dues or fees, the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using. Our fellowship focuses primarily on recovery from the disease of addiction. Anyone may join us regardless of age, race, sexual identity, creed, religion, or lack of religion.
