en-US Join us for our Graduate Student Writing Retreat, an online session designed to help graduate students make focused, tangible progress on their thesis, dissertation or other significant writing projects. This retreat offers a structured, distraction-free environment where participants will clarify writing goals, engage in sustained writing time and learn practical strategies for overcoming common writing challenges.

Who should attend: Master’s and doctoral students, especially those in the writing stage of their thesis or dissertation.

This event is offered in partnership with the College of Graduate Studies, the Office of Graduate Research and Scholarship, the University Writing Center, Writing Across the Curriculum and the Center for Writing Excellence.

en-US Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping how engineers and scientists explore ideas, develop solutions and accelerate technical work. In this webinar, you’ll get an introduction to both generative AI and emerging agentic AI workflows with MATLAB and Simulink, with a focus on how these capabilities can support real engineering and scientific applications.

You'll learn how generative and agentic AI can be used within and alongside MATLAB and Simulink to help with tasks such as creating and refining code and models, exploring algorithms, running simulations, automating repetitive work and speeding up design iterations. We’ll also introduce core agentic AI concepts and show how the MATLAB and Simulink platforms fit into these workflows.

Throughout the session, we’ll highlight how MATLAB and Simulink help engineers validate, refine and apply AI-generated results with greater confidence in engineering contexts. Whether you’re new to these technologies or already exploring them, this webinar will provide a practical foundation for understanding how generative and agentic AI can enhance existing engineering workflows.

en-US The Pathways 2026: The Carlos Malamud Prize exhibition is a collaborative partnership between the UCF Art Gallery and the Rollins Museum of Art, celebrating emerging professional artists across Florida. Juried by a panel of three art professionals, this year’s exhibition features six artists with diverse practices, spanning a wide range of media, themes, and perspectives.

Works by all six finalists will be shown at both venues, creating opportunities to engage with two major academic communities. One artist will receive a $10,000 prize, a solo exhibition in 2027, and the opportunity to serve as a juror for the next edition, along with additional professional development support.

Pathways is designed to nurture emerging artists and provide a meaningful path forward, reflecting the shared missions of both institutions.
