en-US This session will explore how Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor can be effectively used to secure online assessments. Attendees will explore configuring exams, understand monitoring analytics, and implement best practices to ensure secure and fair testing environments.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to: 

  • Summarize concerns around academic integrity in online assessments.
  • Review techniques and quiz settings in Webcourses@UCF (Canvas) to address some of these concerns.
  • Explore Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor for additional features.

en-US Many of us have tried Generative AI (GenAI), like ChatGPT, before. But what about using it in your day job at UCF? Where are the areas where GenAI can make us faster and more productive?

We’ll briefly review what GenAI is and how it works, then address its advantages and weaknesses. We'll also touch on effective prompt engineering before turning to possible productivity gains.

 Participants will be able to:

  • Explain how large language models of AI work and what their advantages and weaknesses are.
  • Log in to the only safe AI at UCF: Microsoft Copilot.
  • Learn basic prompt engineering techniques.
  • List when and when not to use AI.
  • Apply AI tools to make their everyday jobs easier and faster.
  • Explain how co-creating with AI works, and which tasks are better left to humans.

Self Management And Recovery Training (SMART Recovery) is an evidenced-informed recovery method grounded in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), that supports people with substance dependencies or problem behaviors to:

  1. Build and maintain motivation
  2. Cope with urges and cravings
  3. Manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors
  4. Live a balanced life

SMART Recovery focuses on the addictive behaviors, not the substance – meaning they are suitable for any problematic or addictive behavior – including but not limited to alcohol, drugs, gambling, tobacco, as well as eating disorders.
