DESCRIPTION:The College of Medicine's 16th annual FIRE (Focused Research and Inquiry Experience) celebrates medical student research. UCF's medical school is one of the few in the nation that requires all first- and second-year M.D. candidates to conduct and present a scientific research project that will advance medical knowledge.\n\nThis year's conference is Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Medical Education Building at Lake Nona. The event is open to the public and will feature oral and poster presentations.\n\nThe plenary speaker is Dr. Analiz Rodriguez, neurology oncology director at the University of Arkansas' College of Medicine, who will speak on "Finding Your Path in Clinical Research." The presentation is at noon in Room 102 of the Medical Education Building.

DESCRIPTION:The RWC offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, First Aid Blended Learning classes. The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (approx. 2-3 hours long) and an instructor-led class skills session (approx. 2 hours long). The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class skills session.\n\nEach participant who successfully completes the course will earn an American Red Cross certificate in Adult First Aid, CPR with AED.
