SUMMARY:Drug Take Back Day
URL:https://events.ucf.edu/event/4066508/drug-take-back-day/
DESCRIPTION:Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands or our waterways, which is dangerous and often tragic. That's why UCF is joining thousands of people from across the country in cleaning out their medicine cabinets and turning in - safely and anonymously - a record amount of prescription drugs through an event sponsored by the DEA. \n\nUCF Police Department and UCF Health Student Health Services are once again joining forces to host an official collection site for this important initiative. Clean out your medicine cabinets and find their tent on the Student Union west patio to drop them off - no questions asked! \n\nWhat can be dropped off:\n\n * Prescription Medications (both controlled and uncontrolled)\n * Non-prescription medications (OTC)\n * Vitamins, supplements, and herbals\n * Medications for pets\n * Electronic cigarette cartridges (be sure to remove the battery)\n\n\n\nWhat can NOT be dropped off:\n\n * IV Fluid bags\n * Syringes, needles, or other sharps\n * Oxygen tanks\n * Liquids and creams\n * Electronic cigarette devices/batteries\n\n\n\n \n \nIf you are unable to drop off during this event, please note that UCF has two secure drop-off boxes available year round (Pharmacy and Student Union).
