This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF.\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003EUpon successful completion of this course and check\u002Dout dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required\u003B however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ECost\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EThe total cost of the certification is $320. To register, you will pay a $40 deposit to Outdoor Adventure to hold your spot on the course. The rest of the price ($280) is due the first weekend of the certification and is paid directly to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.\u003C/span\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESchedule\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003EIn order for the participant to receive the SCUBA certification,\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003Ethey must complete two consecutive weekends of training\u003C/strong\u003E. The first weekend encompasses classroom work and practice dives in the pool. The first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. These pieces can be rented through the Outdoor Adventure Center and is included in the course fee. This equipment is subject to availability.
