This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF.\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/span\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EUpon successful completion of this course and check\u002Dout dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required\u003B however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/span\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cspan\u003ECost\u003C/span\u003E\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003Cbr\u003E\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EThe total cost of the certification is $380 with $40 due at the time of registration. The first weekend encompasses classroom work and practice dives in the pool. Normally, the first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday.
