Trip Description: Step beneath the surface and explore one of the Southeast's most incredible cave systems at Tumbling Rock Cave Preserve. We'll spend the day navigating underground passages, scrambling over rocks, squeezing through narrow sections, and discovering massive cave rooms filled with unique formations. Above ground, we'll enjoy a scenic hike through the surrounding mountains before relaxing around camp with new friends. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure that's equal parts challenge and exploration, this trip is for you.
What's Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (camping gear, helmets, knee pads, gloves, and day packs), transportation to/from the activity, and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders. Meals will be provided on this trip; all menus will take dietary restrictions/preferences and allergies into account. Occasionally, groups will eat at restaurants while traveling. These meals are not included in your trip cost. Your Trip Leaders will inform you of any meals not included in the trip price.
What's Not Included:Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal water/snacks. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting.

Trip Description: Georgia’s largest and southernmost barrier island, Cumberland Island, is full of history and mystery. Join us as we explore the island with our homes on our backs on this moderate level backpacking trip. We will hike multiple miles each day and plan to camp at primitive campgrounds. This trip is best for someone with a seriously adventurous spirit who is able to hike while carrying 40-50lbs! This trip is funded by the National Park Trust, a partner of Outdoor Adventure, that works to get people exploring and celebrating public lands while also lowering the barrier to entry!

These talks provide an opportunity to get to know — and collaborate with — our faculty who are advancing innovations in all areas of engineering and computer science, including smart city technology, aerospace, energy, modeling and simulation, medicine, advanced materials, cyber security, and more. Each faculty presenter will narrate as they share illustrative slides.

]]>Outdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick’s SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced SCUBA DIVE outfitters, for our entry-level NAUI SCUBA certification course. This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF. We are currently working on adding access to our certifications for RWC Members, UCF Faculty and Staff, and Valencia students.
Upon successful completion of this course and check-out dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required; however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.
Cost
The total cost of the certification is $400 with $60 due at the time of registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures. If you pay with card there is an extra $5 charge for fees making the total $405.
Schedule
To receive the SCUBA certification, you must complete two consecutive weekends of training.

Registration & Refund Policies
The registration deadline for each course is the Wednesday before the first weekend. Participants may request a refund for their deposit, or to be transferred to another certification month, until the Outdoor Adventure Center closes on that day. No refunds or transfers will be given after the registration deadline, regardless of the reason. Participants are allowed up to 1 free transfer; after that, the participant must pay another deposit. Failure to be on time for class sessions, pool sessions, and/or dives may result in complete forfeiture of all payments. In the event that Outdoor Adventure or the SCUBA program cancels a course due to weather, insufficient participation, etc, participants will receive a full refund.
