Carter is a former professional player, business executive, coach, licensed attorney, and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. A certified professional soccer scout, Carter holds Level I and II Talent Identification certification through the Professional Football Scouts Association and served as Chair of the Women's Coaches Community for United Soccer Coaches from 2019 to 2023.
