This course is available to students currently enrolled at UCF. \n\nUpon successful completion of this course and checkout dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open-water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and areas dived approximate those in training. No previous SCUBA experience is required; however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course. \n\nCost \nThe total cost of the certification is $380, with $40 due at registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification, paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures. If you pay by card, there is an additional $5 fee, bringing the total to $385. \n\nSchedule \n\nTo receive SCUBA certification, participants must complete two consecutive weekends of training. The first weekend includes classroom work and pool practice dives. Normally, the first weekend includes Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday.
