Science Café: Encountering Pluto: First Hand Account of New Horizons Mission

Dr. Alan Stern, the chief scientific officer of the Florida Space Institute, will present his first-hand experience as the principal investigator for NASA’s historic New Horizons mission to Pluto during a special Science Café on Monday June 1, 2015 at 7 p.m. in Classroom Building II, Room 106.

Stern, who is working with the Southwest Research Institute on the New Horizons project, will show images from the spacecraft as it prepares for its closest encounter with the distant planet in mid-July.
