What is Afrofuturism? How does it connect to the literary legacy of Zora Neale Hurston? The Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities has embarked on a five-year exploration (Festival 2020-2024) of the meaning and practice around Afrofuturism.

Join us for this two-day inaugural conference featuring literary elder Ishmael Reed and a roundtable discussion among leading Afrofuturism scholars Reynaldo Anderson, Kinitra Brooks, and Isiah Lavender.
