Listen Up! Active Listening - PER109 (Faculty & Staff Only)

Active listening is a critical skill for effective communication, yet much of what we hear is either misunderstood or missed altogether. In this interactive workshop, you will learn what "active listening" means and techniques for doing it well. Topics include:

• Benefits of active listening
• Listening skills self-assessment
• The importance of tone and non-verbals
• Barriers to effective listening
