UCF Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society hosts Plagues, Pandemics and Public Health. 

This Zoom conference, themed "Plagues, Pandemics, and Public Health," focuses on the social history of medicine and public health being studied by UCF History Department undergraduate students. Andrew Kishuni will talk about his research on the 1918-1919 flu pandemic in the U.S. South, Ediola Malkouari will talk about her research on public health practice in Albania, and John Foerster will talk about his work regarding the contemporary opiate crisis. Following the brief talks, the presenters will open up the conference to Q+A about their research and the current COVID-19 pandemic.
