Dr. Güneş Murat TezcürProfessor & Jalal Talabani Chair at the University of Central Florida, moderates the event that will see the participation of Dr. Kamal Soleimani, Assistant Professor at El Colegio de México.

Dr. Kamal Soleimani specializes in Islamic and Middle Eastern history and politics. Soleimani received his Ph.D. (2014) in Islamic and Middle Eastern history from Columbia University. He is the author of various scholarly articles published in such journals as The British Journal of Sociology; Ethnicities; Third World Quarterly, Postcolonial Studies, and The Muslim World. He has also written two books including Islam and Competing Nationalisms in the Middle East (Palgrave, 2016). He will give a talk about the "Political Economy of Kolberi in Eastern/Iranian Kurdistan”
