Human Trafficking Awareness Month "Lunch and Learn" Series: Social Media and Human Trafficking Victimization (Series event 1 of 3)

This series will focus on sex trafficking. Discussions will take participants from an emerging area of risk - social media - through activities designed to reduce the likelihood of being trafficked and reducing demand for trafficked persons to programs that offer hope for persons recovered from trafficking experiences. This session specifically features a discussion on how social media is employed to both recruit and advertise the services of trafficked persons, featuring researchers and practitioners. Special guest speakers include: Dr. Ted Reynolds and Lauren Portal.
