UCF’s usual two weeks in the performing arts center have been shortened to accommodate changes to the university’s calendar, which allows for Orlando Ballet to present the final show of their 20-21 season during that time. From April 15-18, the dance company will be preparing for and presenting Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan in the Walt Disney Theater.
Fly through a starlit London night and dive headfirst into a magical adventure in Neverland in Jorden Morris’ Peter Pan. First the movie, then the musical and now the ballet, this full-length production choreographed by Jorden Morris will be filled with pixie dust and all your favorite characters, from Tinkerbell to the Lost Boys, to Captain Hook and his swashbuckling pirates. With all of its energy, humor and poignant movement, Peter Pan will delight the child in us all.
There are six performances, including a one-hour family show, from April 15-18. Visit the Orlando Ballet site for details.
UCF Celebrates the Arts, a festival showcasing creativity, innovation and collaboration from Orlando’s hometown university, occurs annually at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in April. The event is hosted by the UCF College of Arts and Humanities and features the faculty and students from the School of Performing Arts and the School of Visual Arts and Design, as well as work from the humanities departments and other units from around the university. UCF Celebrates the Arts 2021 will feature both in-person and virtual events to ensure everyone can celebrate UCF artists in whatever setting they are most comfortable.
