Sustainability Virtual Town Hall

Friday, July 30, 2021 noon to 1:30 p.m.

UCF will host a virtual town hall on sustainability with the campus community, facilitated by Yara Watson Colon, Sustainability Specialist II, and featuring a panel of leaders from across the university.

Beginning in March 2021, UCF launched a year-long sustainability strategic planning process. The new plan will build upon the successes of the 2010 Climate Action Plan, and guide the university’s path of innovative leadership in sustainability. The town hall will address curriculum and research, energy and the built environment, landscape and natural resources, transportation, and waste.

Featured panelist:

  • Adri-Anna Harris - Sustainability and Innovation Coordinator, Student Government
  • Curt Wade - Director, Utilities & Energy Services
  • Lauren Morris - Director, Landscape & Natural Resources
  • Jen Elliott - Program Director, UCF Arboretum & Natural Resources Programs
  • Andy Rampersad - Assistant Director, Parking & Transportation Services
  • Keith Krueger - Director, Housekeeping & Recycling Services

The event will also feature a special presentation from Dr. Zhihua Qu, faculty lead for UCF's Resilient, Intelligent and Sustainable Energy Systems Cluster (RISES).

The UCF Sustainability Initiatives YouTube Channel will feature a live stream for those unable to join the Zoom meeting.
