Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week Forum

Monday, September 13, 2021 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All Knights are invited to celebrate HSI Pride and learn about the impact HSIs have on Florida’s economy at this year’s HSI Forum.

Florida’s economy is largely dependent on a diverse, competitive, and innovative workforce. As a Hispanic-Serving Institution, UCF is positioned to create this type of workforce by producing globally competent leaders equipped to be successful in an interconnected world. Join us for a dialogue with one of Florida’s most notable CEOs, John A. De Armas, as he shares his views on how HSIs can contribute to Florida’s economic development goals. Mr. De Armas will also share his strategies for success and words of advice for students seeking internships or employment opportunities in today’s highly demanding and ever-changing economy.

Keynote speaker
John A. de Armas is a visionary entrepreneur, profit maker, and brand-centric executive with ultimate accountability for generating revenue & profit. He has held several impactful, C-level positions with P&L accountability for mid-sized to billion-dollar corporations and has a wide range of industry experience: Media & Entertainment, Consumer Goods/Services, Telecommunications, E-Commerce, Tourism, Manufacturing, and Management Consulting. De Armas is recognized as an expert in U.S., Latin American, and Asian business growth expansions.
