The UCF School of Performing Arts's newly formed Socially Engaged Performing Arts (SEPA) committee is hosting a series of workshops to launch "Arts in Action," our 2021–2022 programming. Any interested students, faculty and alumni are welcome to attend this series of workshops designed to educate, engage and inspire. The first workshop will introduce Socially Engaged Art, and the following three workshops will explore important issues related to creating art with diverse community populations. Workshops will be presented by guest artists from around the nation, UCF alumni and UCF faculty and students.

What is SEPA? We define SEPA as performing arts that involves the community, including applied performing arts projects with various community populations, work developed for/with youth, performing arts aiming to create social change, and research projects within this domain.
