Join us at the UCF Downtown campus on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. for a discussion with accomplished UCF Alum, Mr. Scott Jenkins, the Strategy Director for State Policy at the Lumina Foundation.

About Scott:

UCF Alum, Scott Jenkins, is the Strategy Director for State Policy at Lumina Foundation - an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. In this role, he leads the development and advancement of the foundation’s state policy agenda.

Prior to joining Lumina, Scott worked for the National Governors Association and Western Governors University. He also served as the Senior Education Policy Director for Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana, where he directed the Governor’s education agenda in the Department of Education, Commission for Higher Education, and the state legislature.

Mr. Jenkins’ time in government spans more than 20 years and his contributions include service at the state and federal levels of government, where he supported the development and execution of policy through institutions and state and federal offices. His highest position in government to date includes his service as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Education in the George W. Bush administration.

Mr. Jenkins holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida.
