Emotional Intelligence - PER205 (Faculty & Staff Only)

Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify and manage our own emotions, and to understand and influence the emotions of others. Emotional intelligence can help you communicate more effectively, develop greater empathy, and build positive working relationships. Workshop topics include:

  • Key elements of self-awareness, and why they are important to success
  • Essential social skills for workplace application
  • Ways to improve your level of emotional intelligence
  • The science behind an optimistic mental attitude
  • Strategies for emotional control in sensitive situations
  • Creating options for problem-solving departmental issues

This is a 2-part workshop. You must attend both sessions (June 23 and 30) to receive course credit.
