Embracing History: Juneteenth Celebration

The United to Promote Cultural Awareness committee invites you to attend Embracing History: Juneteenth Celebration on Wednesday, June 15 at 11 AM at UCF Downtown's Communication and Media Building, Room 182 A/B.

 This panel discussion and networking lunch will feature:

  • Representative Geraldine Thompson, District 44, Former Senator and Founder of the Wells’Built Museum
  • Commissioner Regina I. Hill, District 5
  • Derek Bruce, Orlando Office Managing Shareholder, Gunster Law, and General Counsel of the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida

The event will be co-moderated by Darryl Gordon, UCF Black Faculty and Staff Association President, and Rudy Darden, Valencia College Peace and Justice Institute Facilitator.

Advanced registration is required for all attendees. Attendees who RSVP will have a chance to win one of 50 prize packs including a Juneteenth t-shirt, pen and tote bag.
