1st Annual Summer Symposium: Serving Those Who Served (4S)

Monday, June 27, 2022 8 a.m. to Tuesday, June 28 at 5 p.m.

The University of Central Florida, the College of William & Mary and the Center for Deployment Psychology have partnered to bring you the most current and practical approaches to impact the lives of the military-connected community. As you get ready to soak in the summer sun, why not also soak in some practical knowledget that will impact your life. The symposium is being held virtually via Zoom.

On June 27, featured speakers will speak on the following topics:

  • Wellness and the mission
  • Family wellness
  • Student veterans
  • Adaptive rehabilitation
  • Spirituality in the military
  • Combat and sexual trauma
  • Veterans as professional helpers
  • Caring for couples
  • Career counseling
  • Addiction and recovery
  • Moral injury
  • Alternative treatment approaches

On June 28, the Center for Deployment Psychology will present two half-day trainings: Addressing Suicide with Military-Connected Patients and Assessing Millitary Clients for Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. 

Up to 12 CEs (through NBCC) will be provided to attendees fro no extra cost.
