Graduate Student Technology Camp

Come explore ways to use technologies in your research, classes, and teaching! The Graduate Student Association is proud to present two 3 hour workshops with each hour dedicated to a different area of educational technology: Area 1: Presentations; Area 2: Web 2.0 (Dropbox, Evernote etc.); Area 3: Specific Technologies and applications for Future Teachers. Kevin Yee, Assistant Director of the Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning, will present on the following technologies: Hour 1 = Presentations. Prezi, slideshows, Wordle, CompFight, YouTube; Hour 2 = Life, Work & Web2.0. Dropbox, Evernote, Facebook, Twitter, Wikis, Blogs, Advanced Google; Hour 3 = Technologies for Teaching. Narrated PowerPoints, screencasts, Online whiteboards, blogging and podcasting, clicker alternatives. For your convenience, we are offering the same workshop twice on Friday, February 10th at the Teaching Academy on campus, room 303. Workshop 1 will take place from 9 am - 12 pm. Workshop 2 will take place from 1 pm - 4 pm. You do not need to sign up ahead of time for these workshops. All UCF students are welcome to attend this event.
