Opening Reception

Monday, February 27, 2017 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Join us for a celebration of John Steinbeck’s 115th birthday and the opening reception of In the Eyes of the Hungry: Florida’s Changing Landscape. Inspired by The Grapes of Wrath, this exhibition seeks to inspire and contribute to conversations about demographic, geographic, and environmental shifts, with an emphasis on human relationships with the landscape. The selected artists provide immediate yet transcendental responses to the environment that explore ideas such as conservation, migration, agriculture, poverty, homelessness, and local food security.

The UCF Art Gallery is free and open to the public Monday – Friday from 10am to 5pm.

The exhibition will be at the UCF Art Gallery 2/27-3/3 and at the Terrace Gallery at Orlando City Hall 3/13-4/23.
