In the language of the Seminole Indians, chassahowitzka means "pumpkin hanging place." Once upon a time, there used to be small gourds hanging from the trees. The gourds have gone, but the name remains. Present day, Florida locals refer to the river as "The Chaz." On this trip, you will kayak on crystal waters, snorkel and discover Florida flora and fauna, and meet new people! There may even be manatees... \n\nWhat's Included: All of our adventures include all necessary gear for the activity (including kayaks, PFDs, headlamps, etc), transportation to/from the activity, and professional guidance by OA Trip Leaders. All staff are certified in First Aid/CPR/AED, and most are certified Wilderness First Responders. \n\nWhat's Not Included: Participants should wear athletic clothing, appropriate footwear, and bring personal water/snacks. Meals are not provided. A full packing list will be provided at the Pre-Trip Meeting. \n\nTrip Leaders: Ailliy, Alex \nRegistration Link: https://ucfrwc.org/program
